Week 4 Things settled down in week 4 in the NFL. Teams that should have beat team beat them, but in unusual fashion. The Loins torched the disgruntled loins by 18 points, and the giants needed overtime to settle the Cincinnati Bengals. Buffalo needed a last minute field goal to beat the Oakland Raiders. All of the games played out like one would expect for the New England Patriots who lost to the terrible Miami Dolphins. I hated this game I don’t care how you win, but to win off of one play and that play being a play that almost every team in high school runs is weak. It was bush league to see the Dolphins run a high school offence to beat a NFL team.

My predictions for week 3 (15-1)

My 2008 predictions (33-13)

San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints

I’m going to start off with my upset of the week. Don’t forget the 49ers are (2-1) granted they have only beat Seattle, and Detroit. Nate Clements might be the second best cornerback in the NFC (Asante Samuel). Granted Drew Brees is better than Jon Kitna, but Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams are a lot better than David Patten, Devery Henderson. I take San Francisco because of their defense. I know that the Loins are bunk, but the 49ers are legit and the Saints have played tight all year. San Fran shakes up the NFC South by beating the Saints this week.

My Pick: 49ers 31 Saints 27

Minnesota Vikings @ Tennessee Titans

Tennessee has the third best defense in the NFL. That’s why they win, and it’s also why they win this week. Adrian Peterson ran for 160 yards against Indianapolis, but ran for 77 against Carolina. This week he might get 40 carries and he might run for 120 yards, but the Vikings has one legit offensive threat and if you can load up the box and jump to an early lead you take that threat away. Tennessee’s offense is not stellar, but they do enough to get the job done.

My Pick: Titans 24 Vikings 16

Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs If you need a nap Sunday watch this game. Damon Huard or Tyler Thigpen the chiefs have no shot. The Broncos might over look the Chiefs, but who wouldn’t there a joke. Larry Johnson is going to have to go off, but with Huard in his carries have been reduced. Broncos in a land slide.

My Pick: Broncos 30 Chiefs 17

Arizona Cardinals @ New York Jets

J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets lose this week, and I don’t know why this game is even at Vegas. Brett Favre is a legend, but he just does not look like the old Favre. He just does not know the system yet, and it’s obvious. Look for Edge to dominate the line of scrimmage and Fitzgerald and Boldin to have a descent week. I just cannot pick the Jets after last week against the Chargers.

My Pick: Cardinals 30 Jets 21

Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals

Two really high powered offenses of the past will try to score. The Bengals should have beaten the Giants last week. I have no idea who wins this game. It comes down to the quarterbacks. Carson Palmer is a better qb than Derek Anderson. So go Bengals, plus I really want to see Chad Johnson do something. I could throw a lot of meaningless stats at you about how bad these qb’s are, but the truth is they mean absolutely nothing against these defenses.

My Pick: Bengals 30 Browns 24

Green Bay Packers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Last week both of these teams played well. Green Bay lost week, but they win this week. Griese threw 3 picks last week in the 67 passes he attempted. Look for Ryan Grant to get back on track. Last week they got away from the running game, and it severely hurt the offence. This will be a good game till the fourth when the Pack pulls away.

My Pick: Packers 27 Bucs 17

Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers ESPN states that the Falcons are a surprise at 2-1. What are they thinking? Wow they beat Detroit and Kansas City. That being said I think they get destroyed this week. Matt Ryan is a rookie and the Panthers will treat him like one. Micheal Turner might keep them he the game till half time, but I don’t see him breaking any Atlanta Falcons records this week. Atlanta’s Defense is either really young or really old, look for Stewart/Williams to go bonkers.

My Pick: Panther 34 Falcons 17

Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Houston is terrible against the run. As Indy is, and they will get beat just like the Colts did last week. Jones-Drew/Taylor hit the holes and gets great numbers, and Houston looks god awful like they do in most of the contests that they have played in. Steve Slaton was a beast in college, but don’t get your hopes up so early on him. At least wait till after this week to crazy of him. Remember a guy named Domanick Williams? My Pick: Jags 24 Texans 13

San Diego Chargers @ Oakland Raiders

This is an intriguing matchup these are two totally different teams. Look for the Rivers to dissect the overrated Oakland Secondary much like Jay Cutler did in week one. Jamarcus Russell will get a rude awaking to the 3-4 defenses. He will make some mistake early that will cost the Raiders deeply. My Pick: Bolts 35 Raiders 14

Buffalo Bills @ St. Louis Rams

I am not going to talk about this game there is no need to.

My Pick: Bills 27 Rams 9

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys put Green Bay in their place last week. To my amazement they actually played defense well. Look for Santana Moss to go off like he always does against the Cowboys, but I don’t see much else from the Redskins. Cambell is young and this defense (Cowboys) is the best he has seen so far this year. He might not make a mistake, but he won’t carry them like he has in the past two weeks. This game might scare a lot of Cowboy’s fans but I just think the Redskins linger thought the game.

My Pick: Boys 28 Skins 20

Philadelphia Eagles @ Chicago Bears This is the game of the week. On Sunday night everyone will be able to see Kyle Orten Throw 5 interceptions and look a lot like Rex Grossman. If Mcnabb can coordinate two or three good drives they win easy.

My Pick: Eagles 13 Bears 6

Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers In case you didn’t know Big Ben does not do well while being pressured. Philly showed every team in the NFL how to beat the Steelers. Look for the Ravens to bring a lot of pressure, but I think this will be there downfall. The Ravens are going to have a hard time moving the ball as well. (Like you didn’t know that) Joe Flacco will end up killing the Ravens an int for a td to seal the deal late in the game.

My Pick: Steelers 17 Ravens 13
