Arizona Fall League Preview Saturday we touched on the history of the Arizona Fall League. Now let’s look at each team for the 2008 season. Mesa Sola Sox: (Braves, Cubs, Tigers, Marlins, Phillies) The biggest name associated with the Solar Sox will not be on the field, but in the dugout. Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg will be in the dugout as bench coach. The Cubs Tyler Colvin – a 2006 first round pick – is one of Mela’s top prospects. He spent the 2008 season in Double A, hitting .256/14/80. Other top OF prospects are the Braves’ Brandon Jones and the Tigers’ Clete Thomas.
