It is always interesting when you face a playoff opponent who, like a day trader on the stock market, "buys" and "sells" players (i.e. adds and waives) at an alarming rate during playoff week...

Rod's Fantasy Baseball Update show is a weekly update regarding recent trades, injuries, streaks and slumps and the impact they will have on your fantasy baseball team. I will use my own experiences as commissioner of a 10-team mixed Yahoo! league known as the Warning Track Power League as a catalyst for the show. Add this show to your podcast menu for fantasy baseball strategies and advice.

In addition to Rod's Fantasy Baseball Update podcast and periodic columns and broadcasts of the Cincinnati Reds, hessandfarm are proud to introduce the "Hess and the Farm" show. Go to "www.hessandthefarm.com" to be highly entertained by hosts Casey Farm and Rod Hess. Both journalism graduates of Oregon State University, Farm (Class of 2005) and Hess (1989) will cover Pacific Northwest teams (Blazers, Mariners, Beavers) in addition to general sports talk. Basically, it's sports talk with a West Coast bias.

The "hessandfarm" tiled mural photo above is from inside Great American Ballpark in September of 2006. It was the first time I saw my favorite team, the Reds, play at their home ballpark. I've been to 12 parks in 41 years on this Earth (Great American, Bank One, 'Stick, Pac Bell, Kingdome, Safeco, Coors, Shea, Yankee Stadium, Citizens Bank, Oakland) and hope to see many more in the future. Go Reds!
