This month has been full of big moves, teams bulking up their rotations/bullpens with arms and their lineups with bats. However none came close to touching the history that took place earlier today. Today, Tim Donaghy was sentenced to 15 months for each of the two counts he’d pleaded guilty to. So this whole mess is behind us. Isn’t it? Mr. Donaghy will forever be known as a disgraced referee. He was a disgrace to himself, to his family, and to his profession. His actions have forever changed not only the face of basketball, but sports as we know it. Think about watching a baseball game. Tomorrow morning, former NBA official, Tim Donaghy, will be sentenced in Judge Carol Bagley Amon’s court room. Donaghy’s case raises some legal questions. For instance, two of his accomplisses were sentenced to just over a year in prison on Thursday by Judge Amon. Will Tim Donaghy get a more severe punishment, or will he walk away with just a slap on the wrist? Unfortunately the answer to that question will most likely be the second option. Why?
