usually you can get pretty good quality on the laptop mic, but you might want to look into getting a headset. there are some good ones on the FAQ page here, and the headsets are good at minimizing background noise too

Welcome to YouCastr. Your broadcast was solid. there was a little static, might want to check the volume levels on your computer, and on the actual microphone. Are you using a headset, or just the built in microphone? Key is to keep practicing, and tell your friends about it.
